Planet Poker |
Rating: 75% |
 |
Ranks #44 , because of very low user base. Reviewed 05/05/2008 15:38:38, by Branson Josh
The results of our Planet Poker review are very favorable, and by looking at the ratings you will see that with a larger player base they could be one of top poker rooms (more players would allow them to hold larger and more frequent tournaments, and so on). They also just upgraded their cardroom software, which is a nice improvement. Planet Poker offers a good range of games, the usual Holdem poker as well as Omaha Hi & Hi/Lo, Studi Hi & Hi/Lo and draw variants. PlanetPoker was the ORIGINAL online poker room to offer real money games, back in 1998, and they have one of the most trusted names in the industry. Their resident poker celebrity is the cardroom manager Roy Cooke, whom you might recognize from Card Player magazine.

Carbon Poker launched in May 2005 under the domain name Poker.com and in 2007 changed to its present name. Carbon Poker caters to mainly low limit players and operating as an independent online poker room it has developed its own software.
Game play on Carbon Poker is generally fairly loose, with lots of new players, and there are definitely opportunities here to make good money for someone who knows what they're doing. The software is actually very good, and there are a range of unusual games to please all of us who have grown just a tad holdem overfed.

Absolute Poker |

Ranks #50, because of lots of weak players and $1,000,000 freeroll. Cons: Low traffic at the higher stakes !!! Reviewed 05/05/2008 15:38:38, by Branson Josh
Absolute Poker is one of the best rooms in terms of bonuses, loyalty rewards and everything related to that. The software is adequate but not great and graphics are not what you would expect from a poker network. Absolute Poker is, despite the rather low traffic numbers, one of the most promising poker rooms. Its focus on tournaments is in the right direction but some of its efforts should be focused on the game types besides Hold'em. All in all, this is a good poker network with minor flaws and great offerings.
